Understand the gap

A child does not always need more tuition.

Sometimes the real gap is concept understanding, consistency, practice, accountability, confidence or knowing whether understanding is actually improving.

SkillsNCR SchoolReady keeps the review conversation close to the work: participation, practice, understanding and progress.

Why explanation matters

Beyond attendance: can they explain the concept?

Showing up is not the same as understanding. When a learner can explain a concept in their own words, the family and mentor can see whether the idea has landed.

That explain-and-defend moment sits between practice and progress — and it is why review is part of the School journey, not an afterthought.

Parent visibility

Keep the learning conversation connected to work and progress.

Families should not have to guess whether understanding is improving. Parent visibility is a distinct part of School support: shared context on what was practised, what was reviewed, and what comes next.

This is not a catalogue of every activity — it is a clear line of sight into the learning process.

Questions worth asking.

Who is School support for?

SkillsNCR School supports learners in Classes 5–12. Subject and educator availability should be confirmed in the diagnostic.

Does every child need more classes?

No. The useful intervention depends on the gap. We begin with understanding, practice, consistency and accountability rather than assuming more tuition is the answer.

Can I see my child’s progress?

Parent visibility and reviewed practice are part of the School proposition. The review conversation should show what changed, not only whether a class was attended.

Who should complete the diagnostic intake?

A parent or responsible guardian. Please use adult contact details and avoid sharing unnecessary child personal data.
